Morgan thought she would be Janes guardian but then her life starts spining out of control
Becoming a guardian is probabley the only thing as hard as being a guarian. I've been training for the past 8 years and im still not ready. Im Morgan Freyman im going to be a guardian some day but not just any guardian im going to be Jane Morge's guardian. I may only be 16 but I know what im going to do and knowone can stop me from doing it.

Jane Morge is my best friend along with Danny James. Dannys going to become a guardian like me except he's not going to be Jane guardian with me. In fact I dont know whos going to be Janes 2nd guardian. They wont tell me. When I say they I mean our head teacher, Miss Brokes, our deputy head, Mr Jackson and Sir Ronald. Knowone knows who Sir Ronald is he's just there in his office at the back. I've heard rumors that he owns the school or that he and Miss brokes had a fling and he's blackmailing her for his job. To be honest I dont care as long as he doesn't stop me from training and lets me see Jane and Danny im fine.

Jane has powers, thats why she gets guardians. Just like all the others who have powers, well we're ment to say they have the spirits help or that the spirits have blessed them with magic. But what makes Jane even more special is that she has double the magic than anyone. Everyone can will one of the elements well everyone with powers or magic, the lucky ones can will two. Well everyone except Jane. She can will four of the elements air, earth, spirit and light.

There are 6 elements air, earth, water, fire, light and spirit. If you have the Magic to will air to do your bidding you could create or stop a torado, you could create a storm or make a light breeze on a hot day. A earth user help a tree grow, move dirt & leaves or even make crops grow. Water magic is different though, its unpredictable. You could will the water to stop the rain and it might not rain for a year or you could will it to stop a flood and if you weren't careful it could get worse instead but people who trained well enough can control the waters will. Fire has a strong will and only people with the strongest will can be certain they can control it. I once met someone who could put out or start a fire. She told me it had taken her 12 years just to learn that. A person who could will light could turn lights out in a house, have night vision or make things visable in the dark. Being able to will spirit is rare. Spirits like to try and control the person rather than be controlled but if befriend your spirit they can help you influence people, they can tell you what other people are feeling and sometimes they can link your mind with anothers even if only for a few minutes.

Some people say having powers is easier than being a guardian to be honest I dont think it is. If they make one mistake a house sets on fire or a river floods but a guardian has to protect them. There are people who feel its not fare for them to have magic. They have killed many of our magic users and convincd their guardians to join them. Thats why our training is so important if we aren't strong enough they lose there lives.

“MISS FREYMAN! Could you repeat what I just said?” Demanded Mr.mcgur.
“um.... something about defence in a battle field.” I replied. I was in my second lesson of the day. Defence stratages. Me and Mr.mcgur have a sort of an agreement as long as I passed the tests he would overlook my talking or daydreaming in class and forget about my absences. Well, thats how it would work most of the time anyway.
“No. I was talking about ways the enemey defend themselves. It would be useful for you to listen at least if you are not going to take notes Miss. Freyman.” Mr.mcgur said then carried on with his lecture.

When the bell rang I went to meet Jane and Danny in dining hall. Danny was sitting at our usual table waiting for me. Danny's got short brown hair with chocolate brown eyes to match. A lot of guys in our school had the same hair style but you would never ever mistake them for Danny. He's the tallest guy in our year and his mucular body stands out everywhere he goes. I guess thats what happens if you spend three hours a day in the gym for 5 years.

“Hey” He called.
“How was class?” I asked. Me and Danny had bearly any classes together anymore. When we were younger we used to do everything together but then I was moved up a class. Now I have more lessons than him so we barely get to hang out.
“Well, if you think getting beaten up by a girl twice is good it was great.” Danny replied.
“ There is nothing wrong with being beaten up by a girl. Girls make good fighters you know. The best guardians in the world are females.” I said.
“Since when do you know all this?” He asked.
“Since I have seven lessons a day and you only have five.” I told him.
“Is someone showing off again?” Jane said coming to sit by me. Jane was always the sensible one. Me and Danny are a bit reckless sometimes. Janes just a little smaller than my 5ft 2 and has gorgeus hazel-green eyes. Her hair is jet black which comes down just above her shoulders. But she's not my best friend because of how she looks. Jane is my best friend because back when she didn't have know about her magic we had classes together and someone poured water all over us. It was my birthday and I was wearing my favourite outfit so Jane yelled and the boy was blown down by a gust of wind. Then it was as if I had just used a hair drier my hair and outfit was dry again. From then on evryone knew Jane could control air and everyone knew we were best friends.

“No. i'm just telling it how it is.” I explained.
“Okay if thats what you think” Jane said.
“So, what classes did you have this morning?” Danny questioned.
“ I had controling earth and waking spirit. I finally managed to find out my spirits name. She's called Janet. It's so cool I can't believe it.” Jane said excited.
“Dont you think thats a weird coincedence. I mean your name's Jane and her name's Janet. It's only one  letter difference.” Danny replied.
“Weird.” I agreed. “Anyway, I have a tone of homework and I was wondering if....”
“if we would help you. We know you too well Morgan. You know the answer already.” Danny said cutting her off.
“Yay!” I cheered. I dont know how I would get through all my homework without them. “ I have free period next then wepons and then.... umm.... I think I have protection. What have you guys got?”
“ I have self defence then two lessons I cant remember. How on earth do you all your lessons? I mean I have two less than you and I cant remember them.” Danny complained.
“Well I have the same amount of lessons as Morgan and I cant remember what lesson is when.” Jane said.
“Im just lucky.” I replied.
“luck has got nothing to do with it. The only reason you know them is because if you dont go to all your lessons everyday your going to get kicked out.” Danny said.
“How did you work that out?” I asked.
“its simple. You used to miss loads of lessons then Miss.Brokes was gonna kick you out now you go to most of your lessons.” He said matter-of-factly.
“You never told me that.”Jane complained.
“Well, I didn't want to worry you. I didn't tell you either Danny so how the hell did you find out?” I asked. I was so sure I hadn't told anyone.
“Easy. I was outside the office when she was yelling at you.” Danny explained.
“Why were you outside the office?” Jane questioned Danny.
“I ditched school with Morgan for a few months.” He replied casualy.
“Great. Now Janes going to worry.” I told him.
“You dont know that for sure.” He said.
“What that supose to mean?” I asked.
“Both of you just shut up. Cant you ever have a nice convsation.” Jane mouned. Me and Danny smiled at each other then looked at Jane and said
“No” Then all three of us were laughing.

When The bell for next period rang I went back to my room. Living in the Sir James-Jackson academy did have a good side. You could go back to your room for free period and you didn't have to worry about an alarm in the morning. The guardians in the dorm knocked on everybodys door in the morning to wake you up. It did have its bad side though you couldn't just stay home, well stay in your room, if you were feeling ill the school doctor would have to say it was okay.

I knew Danny and Jane would try and help me with my homework but to be honest I was a year ahead of Danny in training and Jane learned nearly completely different things compared to me and Dan. So that means I would have to make a start by myself. As usual I started with the easiest piece of homework I could find. In my case this was english. Most of our lessons were either phsical training or defence or stratagies for protection but we did have to do english, maths and science like normal humans. We are human just part witch as well. Thats why some of us have magic and some of dont.

After around ten minutes someone was knocking on my door. Most of my mates were in lesson right now and I wasn't in trouble. Well, I hadn't done anything major like sneak out or go to a party in the boys dorm or ditch classes this week. But I got up anyway and opened the door. One more bad point about living here I didn't have a spy hole to see who was at my door so I could be answering the door to anyone, like an angre teacher or someone I was avoiding.

It was Alice. Alice is my personal trainer, not everyone gets one but some of us do. Me and Danny had managed to skip classes for a while and not get court. Well, we didn't get court intill they realised but by then we had been skipping classes for months. We had also gone to all the parties and I accidently broken a few windows. Miss.Brokes had made me a deal as long as I went to the extra training sessions I wouldn't be kicked out but of course that ment no parties or ditching classes. Alice was okay, she understood that I had given up most of my free time just to stay here. The only reason for me to stay here other than wanting to be Janes guardian was I had know where else to go. My dads a guardian and being a guardian is a full time job and my mother had died when I was born.

“ I've been asigned a job as a full time guardian.” Alice said. She rarely bothered saying hi she prefered to get straight to what she needed to say.
“wow” I commented “thats great!”
“yes. It is. But this means I can know longer be your trainer.” She explained. I hadn't thought about that. Most trainers were not as tolerant as alice. Most of them made you call them by there last name. “May I come in?” She asked. I moved out the way of the door so she could come in. I was still overwelmed by the fact that she wasn't my trainer anymore. She went and looked at my desk with my homework papers scattered everywhere. “you really need to clean this up.” she told me gesturing to the mess. She took another look around my room then said “Dont you know how to make a bed? Or open the curtains?”
“Yeah I do. I just cant be bothered.” I said I wasn't in the mood to ask her why she cared. I was too busy wondering who my new trainer would be. Alice was part of a very small group of guardians at the academy that said they would take on my extra lessons. The other teachers knew me to well.
“Im leaving tomorrow. Tonight at pratice I will introduce your new trainer.” She told me.
“Why cant I meet her now?” I wondered.
“first of all he is a he not a she and second because he is not here yet.” she replied.
“So the trainer isn't one of the teachers?” I wondered.
“He is. Well he will be, he is taking over my classes.” she explained.
“So is our training session on tonight?” I asked “will I need my gym kit?”
“yes and no.” she responded “i will meet you at the practice hall to introduce you but dont come in your gym kit. Im having a send off party. Probabley not as good as the ones you used to sneek out to but you can come if you want. Dont tell knowone I dont want party crashers. If you deside to come where something suitable.” Alice explained. I liked the idea of the party but suitable clothing was different.
“What do you class as suitable?” I asked with a smile on my face.
“teachers will be there and some of the other students I train. So something teacher can see you in without sending you back to change.” She replied. I groaned.
“fine...” I walked to my wardrobe and pulled out a sky blue dress made from slick that came down to my knees. “how about this?” I asked.
“isn't that too tight?” she asked.
“no” I answered.
“Okay. Where that but bring a jacket.”She reasoned.
“Deal. If I can't bring anybody to this party who will I know there?” I questioned. I only knew a few people in her classes.
“Me, your new trainer, your school teachers, Jack monty, Holly dunes, Ivy duke and micheal shoden.”She replied.
“Do I meet you at normal time for practice?” I wondered.
“yes the time would have been.” She said “ I dont want to use up all your free period so i'll see you later.” Then she walked out.

I sat on my bed thinking through what had just happened. If you classed Alice as one of my teachers she would be my favouite and now some guy who I didn't know was going to take her place. Great! On the bright side I got to go to a party. Well, a party with no beer or anything like that but she did know Micheal, Holly, Ivy and Jack would be there. Micheal was the one who had held all the parties she had went to and Jack had brought all the booze. Holly and Ivy were best mates but they both had a crush on Jack which confuses me because he is so not good looking and he is definatly not the brightest of the bunch but yet again he was funny and I you wanted something, anything at all, he knew how to get it. It had caused them to had quite a few fights and Jack still didn''t realise. Boys are idoits.

I looked at my clock I had 20 minutes left intill I had to be at my next lesson. I sorted out my homework papers, opened my curtains like Alice had told me to then went to my locker to grab my text books. Just as I got to my locker the bell rang. Lovely, I had to get my books then run to the other side of the school so I wasn't late for lesson. Just great!
