Whenever i try to look, i seem blind...
I breathe onto this cold, damp windowpane
As the condensation forms and trickles down my face
I'm reminded
Im still here, Im still here
What would I see if I was blind?
Could I see your face through the back of my eyelids?
Would I still know when you entered the room?
Or would I just be numb?
You have to say something my dear
You're the one holding my eyes.
Cold, dark and brooding
the silence creeps in
Uninvited and unnoticed
Are we so blind that we cannot see ourselves?
Can we not see our fault?
Sit with me
I shall spin you a tale,
A tale of a man who had nothing
never asked for anything
but had the world, lain at his feet.
Raise your glasses and toast to a better time
For by now, i am all but certain
He must be dead.
