i wrote this when i lost my grandfather
I sat beside your bedside, holding your hand.

When the nurse said you're time had come, I was fighting back oncoming tears.

This conquered all my personal fears,

I look up at the heart monitor.

I couldn't believe my eyes, for what i saw was your last heartbeat.
