Written for contest entry using color prompt.
A purple can be so vibrantly deep,
My mind is soothed into a sleep.

It drowns away the dreary days,
Chasing off dispairing greys.

Purples warm the coldest blues,
Better than any other hues.

A red may heat me through the thickness
But leaves me like a temper's quickness.

Orange and yellow boldly glow,
But aren't as smooth as purple's flow.

Green has an earthy tone,
But leaves me feeling all alone.

Black and white are plain as day,
But together aren't much more than grey.

Yes, purple makes me feel whole
And mends my meloncholy soul.

Without it I would have no use,
For it fills me with creative juice.

I think this color heals me through,
If you let it, it can heal you too.
