This is about the regret of a fantastic love now lost
There one day and gone the next,
A love long gone amongst this text.
Never to be seen again the way they were,
Never out of memory for sure.
A love you had for years and years,
And all that remains are memories and tears.
The feeling of everything going right,
Replaced by loneliness in the night.
They say one true love is all you'll ever know,
As the feelings of regret further grow.
Should you have stayed beside her side?
Should you have asked her to be your bride?
Never has the regret been so hard to swallow,
To march the path you chose to follow.
They say it's better to have loved and lost than never,
But it makes you wonder if they have lost a love ever.
