A poem about trying to cope with lost love
Memories of a time that wasn’t bad
By: Lewis Dukes

Memories of a time that wasn’t bad
Seeing the pain I’ve created
Knowing I’ve made someone sad
My life is no longer satiated

Thoughts through the head like a bullet
Thinking of another with every word
Not sure if I will ever be able to get through it
My mind’s pace faster than wings of a humming bird

A pain in the chest with every breath
A torrent of pain through the mind
Wishing of an end, even death
What put me in this mysterious bind?

Nothing, but a love that is no more
Searching for the sanity I had before
