He is the epitome of optimism.
Rising early to a new morning and tilling and sowing all day, He is the epitome of optimism. Every night he dreams of how mother earth will bless him with a rich Harvest so that all his worries could be ploughed out of his life. At the mercy of the rains he looks up on the hovering clouds with batted eyes. His children’s future depends on this crop; his body tied down with the chains of debt could only be freed from a fruitful harvest. His clothes are worn out , the sweat from his brow shining by the sun’s butchering rays , there is hope he says , for every seed that he has sown in , he has injected them with faith and love , the soil is saline ,still wet from the sweat from his brow … I give it all that I have got , but the needle of time has to swing in my stride , with a bag full of hope and despair filled all in one, he will be ready for another day
he prays....
Oh my mother I have sowed into u my love , the future of my children is in u , when my babies will grow , give them enough strength to tower above the land , I am a farmer with little to ask and so much to give , My nation depends on me , and I am at ur mercy , The rain Gods will not betray me I have prayed to them with all my heart , They will have to bless me with the heavenly showers , The am drowned in debt but have my faith in you u will anchor me out of all my miseries , The present is in your hands the future will be created by u .
Time for harrvest ...
With green fields to be filled with crops and a billion hungry bellies to fill in , a farmers life is nothing but a challenge , Sometimes sucked dry by drought and on other times drowned down in floods , the hand still remains afloat , for he knows on him depend a billion hopes , Yes he is the favorite of the Money lenders , they want to nibble upon the last ounce of flesh left in him , but he prays , begs and points at his little children whom he says are his pillars of strength , So like a brave warrior who alone has to fight a impossible battle against Debt and Destiny , he is brave none less than any soldier who has to defend his territory all by himself , He has to be brave and has to keep his nerves , Foe the farmer ,the Harvest will be amazing , he has readied all his favorite songs and now he wants to sing …..
