America's favorite past-time...baseball
Ball splitting air and the crack of the bat
Baseman punching his mitt and tugging his hat
Scrambling of feet towards the fly ball
“I got it, I got it” you hear them call
Vendors in stands selling their snacks
Screaming “Peanuts, popcorn, Cracker jacks”
A fielder grabbing the ball and throwing to home
The grassy field all covered in dome
The base runner trying to end his team’s drought
Catcher snags the ball and the ump yell’s “Your out!”
The fans throw cups and yell in true hate
Screaming “you bum he was safe at the plate”
Young kids see and learn from their parents discourse
They’ll soon be heckling with out any remorse
Baseballs a sport that we learn while we grow
That curve ball’s a pitch we all want to throw
Baseball’s a game that we all like to play
Whether it’s getting your mitt out or just enjoying the day
