Story of an abused girl finding hope in another.
Living is a punishment.
Death would treat me better.
I have no reason to stay
Here, where I am battered, tortured, and bruised
For your amusement.
I have had enough,
Yet my silence remains.
Fear of your anger kept me quiet all these years
Among the ranks suffering unseen;
Invisible to the ones who do not bear our affliction.

But then into my darkness, another came-
My savior,
Who alone gave me reason for life
And kept me sane through my agony
In this world, where once I stood
Within Death's grasp in my pain and depression.
But now, in my misery, in your arms is my comfort.
In you I find my hope.
In you, my light,
My Angel.
