My Bike is Gone
By Lauren Hubbard

Tommy woke up bright and early. It was his 5th birthday and he was very excited. He went into his mummy and daddy’s room and jumped on the bed to wake them up.
“Mummy, daddy, its today, it’s today!” He shouted, at the top of his voice.
Tommy was so excited. They went downstairs to see loads and loads of presents. Tommy opened all of them with a huge smile on his face.
“Thank you mummy. Thank you daddy!” Tommy said.
But there was one more present hiding in the garden. It was a big blue bike and it was really shiny. Tommy was really pleased with his new bike and rode it for hours.
Later that day his mum planned a big party and all his friends came round to see his new toys and his new bike. They played games and ate food. Tommy’s new bike was a magic bike. And while everyone was playing Tommy’s bike went riding off down the road. Tommy went outside to play on his bike but it was gone!
“My bike is gone!” Tommy screamed as he ran through the house. Tommy was very upset about his big blue bike. Everyone helped to look for it but couldn’t find it anywhere.
“Where could it be?” Mum asked.
It was the end of the party and everyone left. Tommy was still very sad, but it was bedtime. His mum tucked him into bed, kissed him on the cheek and said “we will find it, I promise”.
The next day, Tommy ran into his mum and dad’s bedroom.
“Did you find it?” He asked.
Dad got up, took his hand and took him downstairs. Tommy couldn’t believe his eyes. Right in front of him was his big blue shiny bike. Tommy was very happy and gave his dad a big hug
“Thank you daddy, you found it!” He said very cheerfully.
