losing a lover
I woke up this morning in tears.
I woke up this morning realizing all my fears.
I open my eyes and nothing but water comes out.
I start think I just lost everything I used to smile about.

Everything I thought I could never lose is already gone.
Outside my window are two birds singing their love song.
I always thought you and I were the way things belonged.
But somehow I only found the right things to do wrong.

I showed you another side of me that I thought you would love.
It was as if I switched from a crow to a beautiful dove.
You regained faith and started to believe.
But of course I had another trick to ruin it up my sleeve.

I don't mess up on purpose.
I don't like to fight.
I wish we could end on a good note every single night.
Now it's late and I'm starting to see the light.

You deserve the right to obtain happiness.
You deserve the right to hate me, but I'll still beg for your forgiveness.
Moving on is what you wish.
I just want the chance to touch those lips with another soft kiss.

Before I was foolish and didn't think it was a big deal.
But now you're gone and everything is starting to feel real.
