The world cannot conquer love. No matter the ages of either.
I want you to know that I like you,
As elementary as this word may be.
But I simply can't say that I love you
For fear you won't return it to me.

This world is a cruel and a harsh one;
As if you can't see that already.
It insists that age makes a difference,
That love has been nothing, if not petty.

But I know what to them does not matter,
Though try as I might, it won't hide;
The love that you want so to squander
Will not be pushed back, won't abide.

Can we not stop fighting this madness?
Can not we give into affairs
Of likes and loves, not of sadness?
I will not be drowned out by despairs.

Please tell me, my love, will you find me?
If you want just to wait for my age,
I will wait here forever, I do guarantee,
Then the world, with you, I'll upstage.
