Mending my broken heart
I stand outside so I can mourn
In a warm nights thunder storm

Let the rain mask all of my tears
And take away my unwanted fears

Cleanse my soul with lightning so bright
That maybe I can sleep through the night

Thunder rolls deep as I stand alone
In the downpour I start to moan

My cries begin barely heard at first
Then they grow louder till I burst

Cry my anger and sadness away
So that I might be happy one day

As the storm ends I head inside
Looking at life with eyes open wide

I'll never forget the loves of my past
And I realize they will not be the last

My heart is ready for love once more
Where anger and sadness were before
