about a teady bear
I sit watching it
in all its silence. Wondering.
Wondering what it may be thinking, wondering
if it knew I sat watching.

On its back it lay
downing in air. Still.
Stillness smothered it.
Would it notice or would
it continue to sit unawares.

I pulled it up
by its bow. Righting it.
Making it so it could see
the world once more.
It sat watching, watching me.
