Just a little poem on a woman and a man that involves cheating.
You told me that you loved me,
That this was not a game,
You told me that to be mine,
Was all you ever wanted to be.

Now I hardly see you,
You never hang around,
You used to be able to hear me,
Without a single sound.

You told me that you loved me,
That this was not a game,

You told me it was for the best,
That you took this job for me,
But as I look at the evidence all around,
There's more that I can see.

There's lipstick on your collar,
Perfume hanging in the air,
I can tell that they are not mine,
This is more than I can bare.

You told me that you loved me,
That this was not a game,
But on now I can see,
Your guilty face of shame.

You told me that you loved me,
That this was not a game,
You told me that to be mine,
Was all you ever wanted to be.

Looking back, I should have seen,
All the simple signs,
I should have known you were more,
Than seemingly benign.

You broke my heart in several ways,
You left it torn and shred,
Yet in my mind something tells me,
It'd been this way for more than a few days.

Now I feel no pain,
I feel no remorse,
If you truly loved me,
You would have chosen a different course.

You tell me that you miss me,
But I know that isn't true,
You should have known that she,
Would leave you too.

You told me that you loved me,
That this was not a game,
But now you wear for me to see,
Eyes that are filled with shame.
