A poem I wrote after the election
Sunshine welcoming a new day
warming us with a strength
hidden away for so long
secret recesses of long ago hope
let loose to see a new day dawning on mankind
a renewal and invigoration
of all that is good
of all that lifts us up
as if by an unseen hand
a strength ready to propel us
to new unseen futures,
