In the Dark

In the dark, dying alone,
wrists sliced, down to the bone,
in the dark, bleeding and bruised,
escape from this world, has been refused,
in the dark, tears pour down her face,
she asks god to take her out of this place,
in the dark, wondering why,
the world just wont let her die,
in the dark, her soul longs to be free,
so she can be where she wants to be,
in the dark, the world lost a light,
her body finally let her soul take flight.
