A short poem about walls
We sit here within these four walls,
Barricaded from fresh air and sunlight

And without clocks, windows, or concerned calls,
We wouldn’t know if it was day or night

Like cattle trapped inside tiny stalls,
We are sheltered, disconnected, kept from feeling

But without these four walls,
We’d all be crushed by the ceiling
