An early poem I wrote while living in Tillamook, Oregon , living at a trailer park.

It's hard when you wake up early.
Should I try to go back to sleep.
Don't feel like reading.
T.V. is trite, no way to start a monumental day.
It's still dark.
but, still you can feel that it's a new day.
Wandering mind with no fixation to ground me.
Let it go , see where it finds me.
Preconception has not begun.
peeking out behind crusty eyes.
Not looking, not seeing.
hazy half life ,
not performing.
not here for you, not here for me
not lofty enough to be lifted by the divine
Like the leaf caught in the Autumn winds
floating aloft with with the trees as my halo
where to next
destination inevitable
greet it with joy
fight it with sorrow
The sun is rising
hope on the marrow
lifted again
and tousled about
will I be landing today
or tomorrow?
:)
