This is a poem about passion, longing, and sacrifice.
What have I become?
Dizzy behind prescribed meds and discretion.
His shameless gaze incites my heart of faint flames
with diesel, stripping me of my camouflage.
My body, burning Amazon forests to cinders,
as long as I sway under the feel of southern rain.

What am I asking for?
The feel of his crab claws, asking for me back.
His sensual, curious lust finding who I am
beneath all that I wear with embarrassing ease.
My soul, smitten publically nude,
as long as he is there to paint me.

What becomes me?
Over powering desire, dismantled sentences.
My lover’s muscles sweating in my own,
leaving my mind in seamless fragments,
melting into a faultless stupor.
My mind, ravaged by wild grasping hands,
as long as they promise to ravage the rest of me as well.
