Stapled soul to an open wound.
Skin Deep
-----------------

Stapled souls in sutures fixed
the open wound,
Transfixed empty stars, laughing
distant angry scars,
Somewhere in limbo, yet
fully atuned,

Covering emptiness; this shroud of
lies,
Carting away these empty
eyes,
Screeching steel, a thousand
outcries,

Freezing, hard, an uneasy
sleep,
Spark of the victim? Its'
only skin deep...
