One of my first poems, a reflection of my inner feelings
Little girl, shattered dreams
Shattered hopes, shattered schemes
Never knowing, what's in store
What's behind that unlocked door
Until you open, till you look
In every corner, every nook.
Then you find, to your surprise
You recognize that poor girls eyes
Her mousy hair, her cold blue lips
The polish on her fingertips
You start to wonder what to do
When you realize that girl is you.
