Poem i wrote one night while i was up late feeling bad because we had to put our dog down
off you go on one last journey
riding on Death's metaphorical gurney
people have always feared the unknown
time and time again it has been shown
hasn't it been proven throughout history
yet what is life without some mystery
isn't that the beauty of existence
not knowing if you will encounter some resistance
i must admit not knowing is a bit frightening
but if i was offered some enlightening
i would rather keep it a surprise
often curiosity can lead to demise
it is impossible to grasp the whole picture
of how our actions affect the mixture
on such a massive scale how can you predict
the outcome even the slightest action will inflict
so why pretend to know what you can not
how can we understand this story's plot
when we don't even know what role we play
so i am content on just enjoying today
i don't know what tomorrow will bring and i'm glad
i will do my best to cope be it good or bad
try not to be afraid of what awaits
fear is just something your mind creates
