Happiness infect me
Spread your Viral Joy through my veins
make my heart flutter
and my lungs collapse with laughter

My future away from this place looms
like an inevitable injection
an undesirable panacea
and now I've overdosed
my head is spinning

To long have I popped these pills
Depression, Anxiety, Insecurity, and Intimidation
no more pills
I want to feel feverish confidence flush my face

A cold bath
I'll let my sodden hair down
and stand out in the warm night air
hoping to be infected by this "Happy" disease.
