this is a poem/ song i wrote a while ago about loosing a friend to her own bad choises.
When did occasion become addiction

When did the spiral start

Do you know the truth

Or do you chalk it up to art.

Innocence traded for something new

Something that destroys you

The substance becomes the master

the master now the slave

The child once was sweet

now she’s selling off the street

Her life’s worth nothing

But the price that he’ll pay

Will her new friends be there, after today?

When did occasion become addiction

When did the spiral begin

Do you know the truth

Will you ever win.

Circumstances change the seen

But bear no weight on fate

Our choises make us who we are

So who the hell are you?

You blame the weather

Blame your friends

But it’s all down to you

And when theres nothing left to take

Will you end up on the street

When did occasion become addiction

When will the spiral end

Do you know how the story will close

Will you break or bend?
