Something I submitted for the Acrostic writing contest. It's short, I know.
Awe
Mice whispering underneath the stairways
Acting out tangoes gleaned from phantoms.
Kissing toads on a blind date hide croaks,
Earning each others’ future ire.  And the cows-
Mooing at the bamboo flooring to grow grass
Even now swaying from hunger,
Mankind is outside, snubbing each wonder
Arachne bites them often between weaving;
Reaching unpoisoned fangs near ankles for a taste.
Victims of their own toxins, humanity stumbles
Eerily dominating the future with their fallout
Losing what glories nature had in wait.
