Short poem about a snow day.
Tiny white crystals fall steadily to the ground,
Twisting, combining, and collecting, then spreading out,
Like a soft white blanket directly from God,
A pair of lone footprints slowly disappear making me take another step,
Looking around at the untouched world I didn't see him,
Matching each footprint with mine I started out into a cold night,
I turned when I felt a sudden cold and caught him with a handful of snow,
We had taken off before you would have ever known,
A lone pair of footprints were our only guide home.
