Thoughts about Spiritual Progress.
Well, back to Critical Thinking. It has it's place. It is Necessary for Shop talk, but skepticism is not the same as Criticism. One can Remain Aloof and Skeptical without being Critical. It takes a certain type of Humility to Recognize that Criticism is Subject to a Dangerous form of Egotism that can Result in Depression. If merely Skeptical we can remain in control and have the ability to be skeptical of our Own Critical Thought Patterns.
We learn to Question Ourselves before Questioning others..

The Ego sits right behind the eyes and remains the Spectator looking for something new to attach to. Maybe this is a Daydream or Old Memory, but eventually the Ego finds a way to occupy itself. In a way, Criticism is completely Associated with Egotism, but it is a Necessary Process in Critical Situations. The Knack is to Allow the Ego to remain Egoless like a Hollow Sphere of Consciousness with nothing but Primordial Energy at the Center.

I am adjusting to the idea that time is running out for those of us that truly want to make an impact on the everyday mundane world of humanity. Misery and suffering seems to be gaining a foothold in our patterns of thought and the whole world seems almost a whirpool ready to suck us down into it's terrifying depths.
I know that when presented with the idea that we do have to make a rather important choice, our immediate consciousness tends to hesitate. I am also realiziung that we cannot afford this luxury of hesitation if we are to make any progress. When I say progress, I am actually describing a defensive maneuver designed to ensure security and peace of mind. I am also describing a certain kind of freedom associated with knowing that we have made the proper choice on a larger scale.

This New Scale Won't be as stable as the Old Patterns of Thought, but it will be more Resistant to the forces that held the Old Ways in Thrall. Let us say that Our Body was Attacked by a Disease. Once We conquer this Disease, the Body is more Resistant to that Particular disease. When New Diseases come along we Need to Abandon the Old Forms of Immunity and Strive for a New and Better form of Immunity.

Of Course, the Body May Forget How to Combat the Old disease, but This is Not likely. Nature has It's Own Way of Ensuring The Survival of the Fittest. The Torment of this Entire Process is the Separation of Old Ways of Thinking from Your New Ability to Reason. We tend to attach ourselves to these Old Ways because they have Always Worked. When they no longer are working we become disappointed and wonder why. We need to give Ourselves the Freedom to pursue what is necessary without being so concerned with the Outcome based upon Old Models of thinking. I don't think any of the Great Thinkers in History sat around thinking All of The Time. Even Socrates who despised the Written Word held long discussions with his fellow Man. He wasn't simply thinking, he was interacting. In this way he was able to discern thought from action and make Clear decisions based upon what seemed to be important.

Have no Illusions about what is Possible and the so called Real World will evaporate like the Illusion that it is. I know that all of this stems from knowing Oneself and not from knowing what will happen to Oneself in some Unpredictable Future. The Point I was trying to make is that there is absolutely no Connection between the Sensations and the Real World. The Mind Creates the Necessary First Cause and so gives Birth to Reason. How is That?

The Only Reason We are Experiencing the World is through our Senses and since the World is not the Same to Every One, there is no Real Connection, only a sort of Polarity that is like the poles on an Electric Battery. Without both Ends connected, the circuit is Never Completed.

Now here is what I am Driving at. There is a Point at which we need to stop Thinking and Turn on some Music to Drown out the Thoughts. This would be in Essence Limiting our Capacity for Understanding, but the Animal in us is easily Subdued. Illusion can be as Real as Reality itself. The point is, it's only a matter of Perspective. Our Selves change along with Reality and we can choose to be Passive or Aggressive. It is damn near impossible to go with the Flow when the River has been Damned.

So I asked at a Very Early Age, isn't Demoralization some sort of Generalization? I mean, I suppose You Could Torture someone, but this is not always used for Punishment. When I think of Demoralization I tend to think of a Group of people becoming Apathetic and this is a Very Wide Generalization. Morality has always been Specific, but it is Also as Abstruse as the Clouds in the Sky; always mixing up Together. On the other hand, maybe people who Pretend to be someone else have Mental Issues or are merely shy.
