A few thing i've noticed here and there. writing just helps... or heightens the experience
Note: these are actual experiences of mine. The moments in life that you can never repeat or tell to anyone else without it losing the raw emotion that was with it. This is L.I.F.E (living in family's embrace) oh... and i call the blue car :)

3:59 pm.

Yes, it was really 3:59 when I started this. I'm sitting with one of my four little brothers in my lap as I type this on my computer. He has my headphones in his ears listening to "Hey hey hey, goodbye". Yep. I kid you not. I have four brother. Justin (12), Camden(9), Seth (6), and Peyton(almost 2). Peyton just happens to be my favorite :)

He has blond hair and the deepest, most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen. He has a red sucker that he probably stole from Justin a couple of minutes go and is dead silent, watching my fingers fly across the page (I say that because I can easily type 80+ words a minute) and the letters suddenly apear on the screen.

He's so smart. He knows how things happen that I would have never thought possible for a three year old.

Last week, our black Labrador, Holly died at age 15 1/2. She was O-L-D. While my step dad put the last of the dirt on her grave in our back yard, I had to hold Peyton close to my side while the rest of us cried.

(Just a forewarning, I will more than likely talk a lot about Peyton because we seem to share a special bond. Our birthmarks are even in the same place, and he's the youngest boy, while I am the youngest girl in our family, and so many more things that are similar, I just don't feel like typing it all.)

Justin sat on the ground in solitude, silent tears streaming down his face, but he made no sound.

When I looked at Peyton, ready to comfort him, I saw he wasn't crying.

"Why don't dogs get to live as long as people?" Justin asked.

For a while, everything was quiet around us. Even the birds (which were ALWAYS loud and rather annoying, were perfectly silent). Then out of nowhere, Peyton (keep in mind this is a THREE year old, but he has grown in up in Church) says, just audible for only me to hear:

"We bor 'cause God wan us ta be goo n nie to eash uver. We wive  tryn a do dat, but afta too lon, we cana do it, so we die. Dogs are bor noin dat. So dey don't say as lon."

Translation:

"We're born because God want's us to be good and nice to each other. We live our lives trying to do that, but after too long, we can't do it, so we die. Dogs are born knowing that, so they don't have to stay as long."

Mindblowing. . . isn't it?

Makes me think of how much children know, and even more so, how much we need to learn from them.

Easter Sunday :)

For Christians, today we celebrate the ressurection of Jesus after three days in a tomb. So how did rabbits, eggs, candy, baskets, gifts . . . how did all of that get incorporated into this holiday? Here's what I think.

Rabbits: To portray gentleness

Eggs: To show new life (We hide them to show that if you just look, you will always be able to find a miricle)

Candy: To show how sweet today really is

Baskets: To let us know that everything can be held together beautifully

Gifts: To show the world the enormous gift that God gave, His Son.

Now of course there are other things, but I can't really think of anything else :)

God bless you!! ^-^

Happy Easter!!!
