In remembrance of a great person and player.


Shoved off the days which were green,
Awaiting anxiously to be seen.
Use to an Indian hardy,
Rarely used to fumble & decisions blurry.
Audience cheered him with applause,
Vena perfused during his win and loss.
Ganges followed him always,
As truth trusted him anyways.
Nights and days were shorter,
Grounds and pitches were weaker,
Unable to withstand such a great player.
Looking forward for another such great man sharply,
Yesterday’s hero, today’s ideal, our Saurav Ganguly.
