I originally wrote this as lyrics to a song I wrote on piano.
I hate lust
and the fact that you like me
as my pride slides through my throat
I pray you'll be someone else.

As the rose petals gently fall to the floor,
and our bodies meet the sheets
I don't see your face,
but that of another man.

(chorus)
These kisses and sweet memories
were not meant for you.
My heart, my love
will never be true.
This unfair romance was a secret to even me
and you know I break so easily.
(chorus)

I hate silence,

and the fact that I don't even want to
think of you
I don't understand these rules
that you follow so strictly,
or why I'm a pawn in this plan
as tears slide down my cheeks that smell
the smell of you

(repeat chorus)
