a poem dedicated to my daughter x
Her skin is golden,
Sun-kissed from days outdoors.
Her eyes sparkle blue,
Like fresh spring water.
Her honey coloured hair sails behind her,
Wind blown and free from restriction.
She doesn’t revel in her beauty
She is oblivious to it’s evidence.

Her gaze is distracted,
Something in the sky has amused her.
A secret smile of pure joy
Brightens her entire face.
She is happy,
Jubilant in this summers day.
She takes my breath away.
My child, my inspiration.
