questions i ask myself everyday
Is it globalization or the immorality of the current apprehensive era?
We have to stand up once in a while and gaze upon this chaotic society we live in, and ask this to ourselves…
Where do morals, courteous behavior and basic respect to other human beings take place?
Since when the only trust you can actually share is with a speechless wide eyed shepherd dog, or with a therapist paid to listen and nod their head?
Since when holding on to morals are considered old fashioned and an embrace of weakness?
Since when long life friends parts so gracefully and you can actually forget about it within the day?
Is all this has been always a part of life and part of growing up, or is it just the new wave?
Are we being computerized, programmed to function with the least emotional eruptions.
Is emotions and love are an overrated concept.
Did love become a consumable product? Did it ever exist? Is it a hologram?
Did we accommodate our outmost desires to the new age; are we growing too old too fast?
I ask these questions not knowing what came into the world I once knew, humans as we are, we are closer by all the telecommunication products but seemed to have lost the most important form of connection.
Did the world shrink to the point where we are lonely even when around people; did our space shrink that it would only fit us?
Can you imagine one stuck within its skin, trapped under layers and layers of clothes, watches, cosmetic surgeries, and porcelain veneers?
Can you imagine that porcelain veneers smiling, with a wife or a husband, even kids, but as lonely as a hermit?
As terrifying as it seems I see it every day,
Did I become one? Have you?
