I did this for an assignment in 9th grade for Lord of the Flies. Its rather stupid. Enjoy!
The Lord of the Flies Survival Story

We were all sitting around a camp fire in the middle of nowhere, literally. We, meaning Blake, Jordan and I, were on a plane to Australia when it went down into the water. There were about 10 to 12 other people on the plane but only three of us washed up on this island. We don’t know what happened to the others and we honestly don’t care. We just want to get off this island before we go insane, or in Jordan's case become cannibals. So as I was saying, we are sitting around a fire, trapped on this little island in the middle of nowhere! It's not even on the map! Although we must be near the equator because it is so hot. What fun this is going to be.

I wake up one morning to Blake and Jordan standing over me shaking me. "Come on and let's go exploring," Blake says, "maybe we can find something interesting that will help us get off this island faster." I agree and get up. We start walking through the jungle and see all these amazing flowers and plant life that I've never seen. We walk for a few hours and at the other end of the island we see something shiny. We get closer and out of the jungle and it’s a plane. An old abandoned plane that looks like it's been there for the past few decades. "Wow. What luck we've got. We found this plane and maybe there is something in it!" Jordan says as we walk up to the plane. We decided to take an adventure and go inside it. We open up the door, carefully and slowly. Just when we get the door open and we think its safe, a huge snake pops out and lands on me! I struggle with it some and it bites me but my friends get it off. Thankfully, it wasn’t poisonous. We walk into the plane and find a first aid kit, blanket, machete, matches and a signal flare. Nothing has been used so whoever was on this plane must have died. We used this stuff to out advantage and took it back to our "base" camp.
"Look at all this stuff!" Jordan says. We nod and agree. This will be useful. If we see a ship we set off a signal flare, and we have matches for a fire, a blanket that can be used for so many different purposes, a first aid kit, and a machete. The first aid kit came in handy for my snake bite. There was even an antibiotic cream that we put on it to keep it from getting infected.
"Well since we have a machete, I think that I will go hunt and get some meat. I saw some pretty tasty looking animals walking around. I'll be back later." Blake states as he starts to walk off machete in tow. Me and Jordan start a fire and try (key word "try") to get a shelter built. Blake comes back after what I believe is a few hours later with some animal for dinner, we cook it and feast.

The same pattern has been going on for days now, maybe even weeks. Time is not important anymore. Basically the essence of time is gone and it is just an illusion of the human life. Blake will go out and hunt every few days and we have a feast. So he decides to go out today. It is just like any other time but, when he doesn’t show up at sundown we start to get worried. "I wonder where he is at," I ponder to myself. Jordan gets up and starts walking towards the jungle. "Don’t worry I will find him and bring him back safe and sound." I nod to him and he leaves so that I'm left alone at camp. After a long while I lie down and try to get some rest.
I awake to a bright light shining in my eyes. I sit up and look around the camp. It's deserted. I decide to go look for everyone. I walk down the beach and see Jordan sitting in the sand at the edge of the water. I don’t see Blake. "Where is he?" Jordan shakes his head and tells me the story. "Well I was walking through the woods trying to find him. So I come across something shiny in a bush. I investigate and find that it’s a machete and that the machete is attached to a badly injured Blake. He was on the brink of death. I come up to him and he opens his eyes and tells me that when he was hunting that he come across a cougar that attacked him. I knew that he was suffering badly so I took the machete and put him out of his misery. I guess the fact that I am now a murderer is now just sinking in." After his story I only look at him with no response.

In the deserted island Jordan and I have come to call home, the days are long, hot and sticky; and the nights are cold and wet. Time has no meaning and the days have no end. I think I'm starting to go insane. I just can't take it anymore! All I have is Jordan. He is a great guy and everything but try spending your whole life with only one person to even have contact with! It's not that fun. We are surviving though. We shift between hunting and chores of that nature.
One day I'm doing my normal thing by looking out to sea. I see a tiny speck. I don’t know what it is so I turn to camp to ask Jordan for his glasses. I realize that he isn’t here so I just look harder. It’s a ship! We are saved! I run as fast as I can to the camp and get the flare that we have been saving and I fire it. Jordan must have seen it because a few minuets later he comes running. Not long after the ship gets closer and docks. They send someone out on a life boat to get us. We see that it’s a navy ship. The little boat gets to the island and the officer in it gets out and starts asking all these questions! I don’t want questions I want to go home. Apparently when the plane went down it sent out a mayday signal and they sent help to this general region. Even though it feels like forever, we have only been on the island for a few weeks. Out of the fifteen people on the plane, only two survived and were rescued. This will make for a great news story for the boys back home!
