Poem about the rays of moon beams that streak through the night's sky.
MOONBEAM

Murky sky, hiding your wonder, when will you come into focus,
shadows now play upon the ground, a product of breeze kissed crocus.

Opaque visions before my eyes, dancing, trying to flee,
a sliver of light leaks beneath cloud cover, appearing, can’t you see?

Offer to those who stare in wonder, your hypnotizing glow,
your brightness exposed fills the air tonight, a spectacular earthward show.

Nickel blue sky, shows bright as day, because of your appearance,
darkness waivers, ever so strained, fighting for existence.

Beacon for all who venture nocturnal, prey, falls in your wake,
not every night, your presents is felt, the monthly cycle does take.

Earthly colors that drain by night, recover in your brightness.
blacks turn grey, and grey’s to blue, by morning, transformed and breathless.

Ancestors from ages long ago, utilized you, for many reasons
they hunted and fished, gauged time, and reflected,
during all four seasons.

Many have pondered the mysteries you hold, some giving praise and homage
of this I know with certainty told, your magic breaths life to my adage.
