Ideas for a story
[Introduction]
Magnetic North Questions

. Ideas for a story on a world symposium on the state of the world, and the evolution of world building mmos to evolve a GAIA program understanding the forces at play in our solar system, and world One that would be open and accessible to all, so that people could pose questions and theories. Is it not through the teaching of others that we learn more about ourselves and creation around us? It would also be useful in determining disaster assistance response teams worldwide?

- if the moon affects the tides of the earth, then how does the expansion and contraction of the suns magnetic field affect the movement of the magnetic north pole

- if the mid Atlantic rift, which directly corresponds to where the volcanoes are going off in Iceland, was to open up more, how would that affect the earths magnetic field, in its breakdown, and what would happen, tectonic plate style, as off of that one ridge, also opens up the Mediterranean fault lines, like what happened in Italy or Greece a few years ago as the world leaders were there. Could it have been a preliminary indicator of the breakdown of the mid Atlantic rift?

-also, if the mid Atlantic rift is opening, then what correlating indicators have been happening in the pacific rim, IE - the tornadoes, the "Ring of Fire", etc, that has been lighting up for the past decade

-if in 1539, the magnetic north pole was over Murmansk, Russia, then we should be able to track the historic movement of the magnetic north pole through the residual charges still left in the rock, would there be a way to build a model tracking the historic movement of said vector to its "rediscovery" in 1871 in the Yukon. We have been tracking the movement of the magnetic north pole and its return to Russia over the last 100+ years. Is the vector of return the same as the vector of entry? probably not. I that case, if the earths magnetic field is sufficiently disrupted, and causes enough of a "slip", which has historical and scientific basis, would we be able to plot the most likely "area" of new magnetic north? And if it does not slip, then what is the projected vector of return of magnetic north to Russia going to take, how is it going to, and how has it affected the weather patterns of the earth, in the time that we have been recording it, and what projected weather patterns could we expect to face in the upcoming century. Knowing where magnetic north would most likely end up in either scenario would be crucial to ALL life on earth.

- Egyptian legend of the day the earth stood still would indicate a slight slip in a 24 hour period, however, it would also indicate that there are potential for several safe spots, if we could determine and make a model, determining the potential rise of sea levels, and what level they could potentially rise to.

-What on this continent, would be acceptable level above sea to bring everyone up to. The reason I am concerned is Lake Champlain

- With the possibility of the mid Atlantic rift opening up, affecting the tectonic action in the pacific, which is folding over top of the other plate, in what danger could the west coast of the western hemisphere be in?
