Andi Harris is a teenage vampire who sets out to destroy the corrupt the ancient gov.
Ok, this is a new beginning to a story I have been laying out in my head. My mom gave me this idea not long ago and I kept thinking about it. It came to me yesterday that this is a lot more emotional than what I originally had and hopefully that will work for the story.

Prologue:

She knew it was a dream as soon as she opened her eyes and saw her mother, golden hair blowing in the wind, standing in front of their old house in the country. She knew it was a dream because it was before her mother got remarried to Lance, at a time when she actually felt good about how her life was unfolding before her.She knew it was a dream because it had been three years since that awful, rainy night when her mother's car was driven into the river by a drunk driver on his way home from a party. And yet, here her beloved mother was, standing before her in what she knew was a dream but cherishing every moment that it lasted.
In the few seconds that this ran through her head, the scene began to change. No longer was her mother standing there looking at her lovingly. In her place stood only the shadows of a dark alley, enveloping the surrounding area and anything unlucky enough to get to close. They seemed to jump around, moving slowly closer to where she stood. She shook her head trying to stop what she thought was her imagination, causing dark brown hair to fall around her shoulders. Only when she took another look at the shadows floating ominously towards her did she realize that one spot stood out darker than the rest.
