An inspirational poem about a Holiday.
As we walked by the shore holding hands saw we
A lazy sun set on the horizon;
Herons flew over a calming blue sea
Looking down upon their pale reflection.

A quiet feeling came over you and me--
As lovely as a gentle summer's breeze;
A feeling of calmness and solemnity.
The wind dances gracefully with the trees.
As warm sand and cool water kiss our feet.

In contrast, the city with its blaring speed
The fabric of our fragile nerves it stretches.
Provoking our tranquillity, making our heart recede.
With all the boggling chaos and noisiness.

Our lives put in such disarray,
Our sanity needed this holiday.
