A boy and his girlfriend are transported to another world. (Ch. 1-7)
(This is a relatively new story, so yea. I'm not going to have it completed for a while.)

Prologue - The Rift

I heard the alarm on my bedside clock sounded. I groaned and reached for the clock's snooze button, missing three times and finaling hitting it on my fourth. It shut off. I took a moment before throwing the blanket off of me half way and looked at the calender....Saturday...The beach! I kicked the rest of the blanket off of me and jumped to my feet in a panic. I was still in my pj's.

"Oh ho god!! What time is it?!" I asked myself. Then looked to my clock. 7:15! "Craaap! I'm gonna be late!" I finished in a loud yell. I ran into my closet and began to rip through in trying to find something to wear....hold up. Let's get somethings down before I continue.

The name's Vincent Strether, but most of my friends just call me Vince. Nothin' unusual about me. Just your regular, everyday, 16 year old guy. I have short brown hair and dark blue eyes, not to mention I'm 6 feet tall, even. Me and my friends are all pretty close to one and other, especially Melania. I guess you could say...she's my girlfriend. Travis, my best friend, got us together when he made me go on a blind date. I thought he was gonna do something embarrassing, like get me to date someone I would regret meeting, since he hasn't really been my most trust worthy friend, but it turns out, I was horribly mistaken. I mean, I was stupified. Melanie turned out to be gorgeous. Not only that, she had to be the nicest person I'd ever met. Sure, she's a little shy, but she stood out among any of the other girls I've ever met, and as it turns out, she likes me as much as I like her. She had emerald-green eyes and very long silky orange hair that reached down past her waist. For a 16 year old, she wasn't exactly tall. She was just about 5.6 feet.

Back to the reason we're here. Me and her were supposed to go to the beach, but I ended up oversleeping. Now I only had 15 minutes before I was supposed to pick her up! I finally found something to wear and dress. I wore a blue short sleeved shirt, black pants with one white strip going down both pant legs, and black shoes. I went staight to the bathroom, quickly brushed my teeth and hair and charged out the door. Lucky for me, I still had 10 minutes to get to her house. Thankfully, she didn't live too far away. It was only a short walk from here.

I got there in 4 minutes, leaving me 6 minutes to spair. Thank god! It's just a plain miracle I even woke up in time

I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. It was taking a while for someone to answer, but after a few seconds, I could here some movement. The door opened and there stood Melanie!

She was wearing an orange tank top, white long pants, and white sandles. She was smiling at me.

"Glad you could make." She told me. I grinned.

"Ready to go, Mel?" I asked, calling her by the nickname I'd given her. She nodded yes.

When we got to the beach, it was strangely empty. Strange. I looked around the beach a lttle more. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

"Hmm...Why is the beach so empty today?" I asked. Melania giggled softly at my confusion. I turned around to her even more confused. "What's so funny?" I asked her.

"Oh, nothing. Just that we've got the entire beach to ourselves." She said taking my hands. I smiled calmly. We began to lean closer to each other for a kiss, but then a shadow fell all around us. We pulled away in confusion. One of her hands let go while the other's grip tightened. We looked around, then up. The sky was getting darker.

"Okay. There is just no way it can be dark already..." I paused for a moment. Everything was quiet. I couldn't even hear the wind blow. Suddenly, a rift opened up and started sucking everything into it! "What the!" I yelled in shock. The sand under Melanie moved making her slip towards it. She screamed as it started to try and suck her in. "Hang on! Don't let go!" I told her. I got a hold on her other hand and startd to pull her back to me. As soon as I got her to a safe distance, I yanked her in closer and held on to her tight, then turned my back to the rift, using my body as a shield against it's suction. I looked at her shaking figure. Tears were rolling do her cheeks. She'd been frightened to tears. Then sand under me broke away, making me lose my footing. My eyes went wide in fear and shock as we were pul into the rift....

This...is how it all came to be known....

The World of Creation....

Chapter 1: Changes

.....I began to come back to concienceness. I could hear gentle waves hitting a shore. I opened my tired eyes to see that we were still on the beach. I sat up to look around. The beach was as normal as it could possibly be, nothing out of the ordinary. I still felt uneasy. I knew for a fact that we had just gotten sucked into a rift, so why didn't this settle right with me.

...Where was Melanie? I looked around for her, and there she was, a good distance from me. I jumped to my feet and ran to her side. That's when I saw something unreal.

That couldn't be Melanie...it wasn't human...was it? Her body was completely covered in what looked to be tan fur and the feet were in the shape of a fox's feet. There were even fox ears where human ears should be. Not only that, but she even had the fox's big and bushy tail. Everything else was as it should be...but...There was just no way this can be Melanie! My oppinion changed instantly when I saw her face. My eyes went wide in shock. That was Melanie's face!

I flipped her onto her back and put my hand to her neck to check for a pulse. She still had a good pulse...Now to check for breathing. I put my ear to her chest, feeling pretty awkward as I did so. I could her relaxed breathing. So that meant that she was just asleep.

I lifted my head up and let out a sigh of relief. As I looked her body over, I couldn't help but notice that it looked as if she'd grown a little...or maybe it was just the fur...That's when I thought, 'She looks so peaceful...so innocent.

And that's about the time when something jumped out of the sand. I jumped back in fright.

This thing was some kind of reptile. It looked a lot like a wingless baby dragon. It was only reached up to my knee on all fours. The ears looked a lot like miniature wings. The scales were cream in color and looked very smooth. They also seamed to shine a little. It didn't look like it had teeth yet. It's big eyes were a dark-blue color. I hesitantly bent down and reached over to pet it. When I started to stroke it's head, it gave a soft, high pitch cue as it leaned in and started to nuzzle the palm of my hand. That brought a smile to my face.

"Well, aren't you the cute one." I said as I started to take a liking to the little creature. However, that stopped the second I saw a huge, looming shadow fall all around me. I looked up and saw a huge adult version of the creature. It must have been 15 feet tall, yet again, only standing on all four! It also had wings. My smile slowely disappeared. I started to move toward me. I instantly put myself in front of Melanie to protect her, using my body as her shield. I didn't expect what happened next. Instead of try to do us harm, It walked a complete circle around us and curled into a resting position around the three of us. Three being, me, the resting Melanie, and the baby dragon. I blinked twice in confussion and relaxed into my normal stance. The large dragon brung it's head incloser to me, examining me. After a moment, it gave me a big lick on the face with it's forked tongue. I wipped the siliva off of my face and smiled, understanding what it was doing. It wanted to help protect Melanie in the best way it could, by creating a barrier using it's body.

I lied down beside Melanie to rest my eyes. After a few minutes, both of the dragons had fallen asleep. I was still awake. I decided that I couldn't rest until I knew for sure that Melanie would be okay. That's when I saw her starting to stur. She began to slowly open her eyes, looking in my direction. As soon as her eyes full opened, they closed again, but tightly as she proceeded to stretch and yawn. She then sat up, perky all of the sudden.

"Hey Vince...Hmm?" She hummed looking around at the huge dragon. She looked back at me confused. "What's going on" She finished.

"You tell me...Foxy." I joked. She looked down ashamed.

"Oh...so you noticed that." She said. Now I felt shameful.

"Hey, take it easy. It's not THAT bad." I told her, then I smiled and said, "Besides, this doesn't change a thing of how I feel about you." She seamed relieved to hear me say that, by her shy smile.

"Thanks for saying that." She thanked me. I leaned back against the dragon, putting my hands behind my head.

"So, mind telling me where we are, cause there's no way we're in Florida anymore." I said.

"Actually, that's not entirely true." She claimed a little hesitantly. I cocked a brow in confussion as she went on. "We're in MY Florida. Which would mean that we're in my world, now." My eyes went wide again. I was surprised by her claim. In denial, I thought, 'G-gotta be a joke.'

"Y-your joking...right?" I said hesitantly. She shook her head. That's when my smile vanished. And then...

"SAY WHAT?!"
