For my friend...
Don’t fret on the past, it’s not worth the pain.
All they bring are storms and rain.
Just hope and pray the future is better.
Because we don’t want to get any wetter.
Sometimes hope is all you can ride on,
when everyone leaves you and your courage is gone.
And why do they leave the question is asked,
At the moment of desolute, when your future is masked.
And why would they leave you with this incredible burden.
It’s just awful and they have no way to defend.
Do they realize they left the next generation,
With a mother that’s grieving and full of desolation.
It’s hard to raise a child when there’s two parents up to bat,
Do they expect you to have 9 lives like a cat?
This world is cruel, and I know this.
But you’ll remember your love your passion, when you lay on the child’s forehead their very first kiss.
