poetic thoughts
By the light of the moon

Shadows cast by the silvery blue light from a full moon, captures the night and creates its shadowy inhabitants from a world beyond.

Always present when the moon smiles big and bright, not often seen by those who walk in the sun, yes those citizens of the light.

Yes, yes, I’ll give you those who walk in the light have the advantage of warm sunny days filled with the magnificent colors of that world.

Fields of green, with tall tree’s stretching towards the sky, the sweet music made by our busy winged friends going about their work.

Beaches and parks filled with people strolling and laying about, enjoying their place so filled with the warming sunlight of their world.

But, my reward sometimes comes from the light of silvery grey, solemn and private, known only to residents that dwell in my shadowy world.

I guess you would think me strange, a little off center, for enjoying this world.

I find a serenity of peaceful thoughts, a chance to exhale, to learn how to coexist with those many dark shadowy dreams.

All the worlds asleep, silence fills the air, except the sweet rustling of a cool night’s breeze.

Swaying limbs from your favorite tree, there’s a musical symphony as only the residents of my shadow world can hear.

Yes it’s true, for at the light of a full moon, even my dark sided friends seem to lie down and sleep.

I guess, even they do their best work, in the dawning light of that brightly lit new day.

So here I sit bathing in my light of silver and gray, sitting next to my seldom seen and very shy friend.

Of course I speak of my confused and very timid friend, I think they call him my little known feeling called my inner peace.
