It's about life on the street, the darkness of it all, drugs, violence and death.
She carries the ragged dream,
So torn from being used,
And numb inside from crying,
From everyone’s abuse.
Inside her mind she’s screaming,
Tries running from the fear,
That shallow grave, so small it seems,
Keeps dissolving all the tears.

She lives along the twisted dream,
That holds her soul enchained,
Another dream, forever free,
But inside her mind once again.

She searches the raging storm,
For someone new to please,
Finds demons roaming in her head,
Those twisted dreams won’t cease.
But finding none, she holds the cap,
Black blood flows out her veins,
The needle breaks, her father screams,
She’s always the one to blame.

And she cries for the lost,
For those souls lost in dreaming,
While the ever-present smile of the Joker is screaming.
As she dies for the lost,
Those souls are now crying,
For the love of the girl, her dreams are now dying.

She follows the blinding light,
Her hope towards the ending,
The tunnel flows forever,
The lights forever bending.
And lost, she cries out one last time,
For hope to end her dream,
Her one reply, the Joker’s laugh,
Her mind splits at the seams.

She lives along the twisted dream,
That holds her soul enchained,
Another dream, forever free,
But inside her mind once again.
