A poem I wrote shortly before my parents got divorced.
Life is darker than black
and full of teary misery.
What do you do to stop…
the petty little fights,
the continuous shouting,
the false accusations
and all the unwanted questions.

Depression closes in
chillingly cold and bitter.
Would it stop if Death
came to visit me?

Life should not be sad
but it is…
due to the flaws of human nature.
