Short poem
Am I crazy to want a better life
Crazy to think about having much more
Insane to want living not to be strife
To want to sleep, not stay up sore

Violence surrounds me,
but yet i stand strong.
Trying to make others see
all that is going on, all that is wrong.

They call us crazy, those who are heard
who want to make a difference in the world.
us whose words cannot be slurred.
our stories that are slowly unfurled.

The people suffer in Haiti,
each night they go to bed.
They hear a crying baby,
next they know it is dead.

The people in Africa hunger
hunger in more ways then one.
The ones who are younger
just want to eat not fire a gun.

I wish for the day
that the child may not die
that the single mother will say
that the lonly begger will finally sigh.

Many a problem is here in this world.
Now you have seen, and I'm sure have heard.
Nothing can stop it, nothing at all its true.
Nothing can stop it but crazy me and crazy you.
