This is a post-relationship poem that basically just tells how I felt.
It wasn't too long ago that you whispered in my ear

Promises of sweet nothings my heart holds dear

You told me you loved me

You told me you cared

You promised not to hurt me

Like the other did before

But I guess a promise is just a comfort to fool

Because as the days grow longer and the nights grow sleepless

My longing for you grows tireless

My yearning for your voice grows aimless

But not a sound

Not a whisper

Not a word I hear from your lips

Not a word beseech my eyes

You don't know how much it truly hurts

Not to have you close

Not to have you here

Not to have you near at all

I loved and I lost

Not only round one but also round two

How many more rounds can my heart take?

How many more rounds will I allow it to endure?

These I cannot answer

But at the end of the day

All I can say is

It's your lost

You'll never have a love like me again

And as for me

Pain can be endured

Heart can be broken

But....

Tomorrow I shall SHINE.
