Listening to Queen can inspire testimonials like this one.
There comes a time during our lives when we feel an infuriating and insatiable impatience with everything around us. Frustrated, angry, and sad, we feel Satan, or Evil, or Pride, or WHATEVER IT IS rise up, scarlet and stinging, from deep within us, surging to the point of no return. It screams "FUCK YOU" to the people we hate. It points a giant middle finger at life and all the uncertainty and injustice that comes with it. We strive to break free, to drive far away without tying loose ends, to escape, to listen to Queen and proclaim out loud to everyone and no one: "I WANT TO BREAK FREE FROM YOUR LIES, YOU'RE SO SELF-SATISFIED, I DON'T NEED YOU."

I have reached it. Or, it has reached me.

The time has come to fix what is broken or throw it away. The time has come to tell the painful and liberating truth. Now is the time to decide which bridges to burn and which to mend. Who is worth the pain of not being an antisocial recluse like Emily Dickinson? Who is worth holding on to in an environment where mothers and daughters act like distant high school frenemies pretending to like each other? It will be decided.

My fortune cookie told me that 'Impatience is appropriate at this time'.

God knows I want to break free.
