a poem about lost love
It was the sun above that got me moved
branches, grass and sky- they couldn't heal my wounds
I felt trapped, almost like a moon
changing places but never setting loose.

Now I have these little monsters meteors
I feel em' rusting round my bones
in my head, in my blood
drink this sorrow as I fall.

And I feel like I'm modern tragedy,
a plant in a glass forever waiting to be
something more than a pleasant thing to see
under the spotlight is not where I wanted to be.

But eyes are clearer than words
and your eyes could never tell lies
it's me who needed to see
that love is not what it used to be.
