There is something more important than an Interview, for him. Find it out here.
The Interview

“You are already late.” My mom shouted from kitchen. Yes she is right. I am late. But I have something more important when compared to attending the Interview of ‘Nanotech solutions’. I was searching for the bag that I have placed in my cupboard exactly a year ago. Today is May 6th. It is an important day for me, more than any other day. It’s her birthday. You might ask who she is. If things would have had turned in my favor, I should have said, “My Wife”, proudly. Now she is just a memory. I have a whole lot of sweet memories. Though there are many sweet and bitter memories in my life, it is always the memories connected with her that stood as best ‘sweet and bitter’ memories.
A few years back, when I asked, “I want to be your friend. Shall we meet somewhere?” “I don’t even know you. Sorry” was all she said. That’s it.
We never spoke again. But I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her.  Those eyes. I have never seen such attractive eyes. I felt the force of gravity there. If I am asked to just look at her eyes the whole day without any source of energy, I will. And there were some days when, those eyes became the source of my energy. I felt energetic as soon as I saw her eyes.
Like any other boy or man in love, I too collected things that were touched by her, used by her. Once I even stole a paper from my library, on which she almost slept of boredom.
And few other things like, her electronics answer sheet, a scale and an anagram which reads my name on one side and her name on the other side. I have kept all these things in a bag. I usually use to see these as the first thing on her birthday. Now this is the bag that I am searching for. We recently shifted our house and I don’t know where it is.
After some 15 minutes of searching, I found that bag. Took out the newspaper first, dusted it. Then I kissed it. I felt as if I am kissing her. NO!! She is not yours anymore. Stop thinking filthy . But my hand automatically picked her answer sheet. The scale. Then the anagram sheet. I felt like crying. I miss her so much. A lump developed in my throat which made swallowing a bit difficult. Then I switched on my laptop, where I have a few photos of her. Saw them. Her eyes again. I cannot take my eyes when I see hers’. whatever Now she is not mine. She was never mine .
“You are already late by 5 minutes”, my mom called out from kitchen once again.
“Damn interview”. I hurried out to my bike. I felt something missing when I sat on my bike. Not jyo. It was helmet.
“Mom, Helmet please”, I cried out.
She came out with my helmet and advised me to drive safely.
I reached ‘nanotech solutions’. Parked my bike. Went in. There were about 50 people waiting to attend the interview.
    “Damn”. I said to myself.
I called out the peon, and asked, “Has the interview started?” He replied, “Not yet”.
With a relief, I entered the room and sat on the only vacant chair on the interview panel and said, “I am so sorry. Now, let’s start with the first applicant.”
