the heart

My heart feels heavy for it lies out in the open waiting for the warm embrace of anothers love.
But it is cold for the one whom my feelings reach out for feels distant and unaccessible to me.
The heart breaks so easily, why do we put it out there for others to play with.
Would it not be better to keep it to ourselves?
Hide it from a world that just wants to see us bleed?
