poem about pain and being held back, not being able to move forward
Green is the color of her eyes
When glistening with tears,
Broken and mutilated by lies
That have devoured her all these years.

A soul laced with poisonous memories
Which never seem to fade,
Defeated by all shrewd injuries
That cut her deeply like a razor blade.

Greedily consuming her once innocense,
Her unique and fragile mind.
Overpowering her battle of resistance,
Neatly leaving her strength to linger behind.

Forced never to look back,
Moving on to a life of shame.
Naive, due to the security she lacks,
Believing she is the one to blame.

Suffocated by her anxiety and guilt,
Causing her heart to shatter and ache.
Weakened by stress, her limbs begin to wilt,
No longer can she find a route of escape.
